ELECTRO CHLORINATORS

On-site Hypochlorite generation is an international practice and the electrolysis process of salt to produce Sodium Hypochlorite for drinking water purification is an internationally accepted practice. The Electrochlorination process is a process where common salt is dissolved in water to prepare brine solution. This solution is passed across electrodes and low voltage direct current is applied and as a result of this a diluted 0.6 to 0.8% sodium hypo chlorite solution is generated. All this process with no risk or mess.

Reaction mechanism
The direct current, passing through the brine flowing in the electrolyzer, where the sodium chloride is completely dissociated into the ions Na+ and Cl-. The complete process is complex but the final result is well represented by the following formula:
NaCl + H2O + energy ---> NaOCl + H2
