Tri-valent Chrome Plating Anodes
In recent years, health and environmental regulations have become more stringent regarding the use of hexavalent chrome plating baths. As a result, platers are being forced to convert to tri-valent chrome baths whenever possible.

Electrophoresys
Electrophoretic deposition (EPD) is a term for a broad range of industrial processes which includes electrocoating, electrophoretic coating, or electrophoretic painting. A characteristic feature of this process is that colloidal particles suspended in a liquid medium migrate under the influence of an electric field (electrophoresis) and are deposited onto an electrode. De Nora’ new technology prevents problems affecting Electrophoretic painting like:
- Gas forming (Hydrogen gas at the cathode, and oxygen gas at the anode)
- Variable resistance
De Nora has developed special anodes and cathodes for industrial processes that apply coatings to metal fabricated products such as automobile bodies and parts coating, tractors and heavy equipment, electrical switch gear, appliances, metal furniture, beverage containers, fasteners, and many other industrial products.
